Navistar expects $22M annual savings in engine production move

The IC Bus parent company will move mid-range engine production at its Huntsville, Ala., plant to Melrose Park, Ill. District may invest $1M annually toward new buses

South Carolina’s Horry County Schools is considering making the investment each year until 2019 under a proposal set forth by the district’s chief officer for support services. The proposal was made to get the buses in the fleet under 15 years old to reduce breakdowns and repairs. No final decisions will be made until the district learns whether it will receive additional funding from the state.

Rotary Lift’s MW-500 Mobile Wheel Lift can remove and position any size wheel or tire weighing up to 500 pounds, company officials say. The lift’s arms are spaced wide enough to facilitate moving heavy-duty wheels and tires, and it is capable of dually holding wheels, according to the company.
