Durham awarded 3-year contract

Durham School Services will operate 97 home-to-school routes and 109 buses for Rochester (Mich.) Community Schools starting in July. The company reportedly plans to hire as many of the district's drivers, monitors, mechanics and staff as possible, and officials say the contract will save the district approximately $4.7 million over the three-year period.

Teen allegedly steals bus, drives to another terminal

The 15-year-old reportedly breaks into the office at a Johnson School Bus Service terminal in Wisconsin and takes the keys to a bus. He then drives the bus 30 miles to another Johnson terminal, where he tells police who find him that he was careful and stopped at railroad crossings along the way.
