School bus crashes into house

Deputies in Piketon, Ohio, say Tuesday’s accident occurred as the bus was crossing a one-lane bridge. The bus driver lost control of the vehicle and slammed into the house after the driver of a Jeep tried to cross the bridge at the same time when the bus was only halfway across.

Another transit agency ordered to halt school bus routes

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) directs a Michigan agency to halt several routes that were introduced in 2010 to transport about 300 students. The ruling comes a month after the FTA issued a similar order to a South Dakota transit agency.

Chicago police arrest Sergio Quintero on Friday, and he is charged with felony possession of a title or registration that has not been assigned. The charge stems from his alleged involvement in the theft of eight school buses, which were brought to his scrap yard, and three of them were destroyed.

President of W.L. Roenigk Inc. passes away

William L. Roenigk Jr., who was also owner of the Pennsylvania-based company, succumbed to his battle with leukemia on Saturday at the age of 57. Roenigk’s father founded the company, and he began working for it after graduating from high school in 1973.
