Louisiana districts get more time for bus route changes

City Schools of Decatur will deploy CrossingGuard, which is equipped with external cameras that capture an image of a violating vehicle's license plate and a video clip of the event. In Autauga County, Alabama, 150 school bus drivers sign up for Yellow Dot, a free program that officials say provides potentially life-saving information to first responders in the event of a crash. Collins, known as the "father of the Type A small school bus," passed away at his home in Florida on July 29 at the age of 83. He will be laid to rest on Aug. 8 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

PulseTech Products’ SP-5 provides 5 watts of power in a solar panel, and offers renewable energy for vehicles that are unable to hook up to outlets, according to the company. The SP-5 also replaces power loss from electrical accessories that occurs even when the ignition is turned off, and its patented Pulse Technology removes damaging sulfate crystals from the battery plates, company officials said.
