Need to step away from the bus and keep it secure but want it to stay running? Now, there's a new solution to let the bus idle and keep the keys on you.
InterMotive Vehicle Controls, a manufacturer of electronic control systems, has recently expanded application of its anti-theft solution, IdleLock, to include Type C school buses.
IdleLock secures the vehicle while it sits idling. The operator can remove the key from the ignition with the parking brake applied as the engine continues to run. Critical functions such as lights and HVAC also remain on for passenger comfort. If an attempt is made to move the vehicle without the key in the ignition, IdleLock will shut the engine off.
The system is easily installed using InterMotive’s plug-and-play connections to the vehicle with no cutting of factory wires.
