A Tucson (Ariz.) private school is down to one van for its students, after police say its other four vans were set on fire.
Tucson Country Day Charter School staff is working with authorities to search for those responsible for the vandalism. Tucson.com reports that the fire happened on Saturday, Jan. 22. Emergency authorities report the fleet of vans was on fire, graffiti was splattered on school buildings, and other property was broken, including water fountains and a refrigerator.
According to a GoFundMe campaign shared by the school's Facebook page, the vans are used throughout the week to transport students to athletic activities, field trips, and other events. The school plans to rent some vans this week to transport students to sporting events. Administrators told Tucson.com they didn't expect to receive much from insurance coverage, because the vans were old models with a lot of mileage.
