HARRISTON, Ontario — Police here charged a 12-year-old with arson in connection with a school bus fire last month.
After receiving a report that a parked school bus was on fire on June 30, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Minto Fire Department responded to the scene at about 8 p.m.
According to a press release from the Wellington County OPP that was published by GuelphToday and other news sources, the fire caused more than $30,000 in damage to the school bus.
The OPP investigated the fire and on Monday announced that a 12-year-old has been charged with arson.
