LISLE, Ill. — A National Express executive has been selected to be a representative on a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) committee.
Bob Ramsdell, the chief safety officer for the school bus company, will serve on the TSA's Surface Transportation Security Advisory Committee (STSAC) as a National School Transportation Association (NSTA) appointee.
The TSA recently announced the establishment of the STSAC, according to a news release from National Express.
The STSAC will report to TSA administrator David Pekoske and will provide recommendations on surface transportation security matters, including the development, refinement, and implementation of policies, programs, initiatives, rulemaking, and security directives.
“It will be an honor and a privilege to serve alongside such esteemed colleagues,” Ramsdell said. “I look forward to this great opportunity to represent NSTA.”
Ramsdell has over 29 years of leadership experience in the transportation industry, and has developed broad expertise in the areas of safety and operations, according to National Express. Ramsdell is currently a member of the NSTA board of directors and chair of the Safety and Security Committee.
