Interactive safety presentations, special bus driver gifts, and a bus showcase at a state fair were just some of the events that took place during NAPT’s National School Bus Safety Week.


Just in time for National School Bus Safety Week, the North Carolina State Fair in Raleigh hosts a Wake County school bus to showcase safety features and the importance of protecting students who ride the bus.

Winning entries in the 17th edition of School Bus Fleet’s Photo Contest reflect striking landscapes and the big yellow bus in nearly all seasons. These shots were selected from 66 total entries by SBF staff.

From deploying onboard cleaning systems to receiving mask donations for students, pupil transporters are making sure the school bus is the safest mode of transportation for students.


Operations nationwide get creative this season amid pandemic restrictions, with decorated buses and trees, virtual student participation in a parade, and story time with "Santa."
