TACOMA, Wash. — A high school student leapt into action after the driver of his school bus fell asleep at the wheel, missed an exit on the freeway and swerved back into traffic, New York Daily News reports.
Emmanuel Williams, 17, was on the bus with other students last week when the driver began falling in and out of consciousness. Williams left his seat and positioned himself behind the driver so he could talk to him and make sure he remained alert.
