WARWICK, N.Y. — Trans Tech has awarded its 2015 Dealer of the Year award to Leonard Bus Sales of Deposit, New York.

This is the third year in a row that the family-owned school and commercial bus dealer has received the honor from the Type A school bus manufacturer.

Trans Tech’s Dealer of the Year award is based on dealer performance in several key areas, including dedication to customer support, overall sales, and growth in market share.

“It is an honor to present Leonard Bus Sales with Trans Tech’s Dealer of the Year for the third straight year,” Trans Tech President John Phraner said. “Leonard Bus Sales’ commitment to providing industry-leading sales and support, tireless efforts to grow their Type A school bus market share in New York, and their continued investment in the success of their customers made them the clear choice.”

Phraner said that although Leonard Bus Sales was the clear choice to win the 2015 Dealer of the Year award, the decision was tougher this year because of an increase in the size of Trans Tech’s dealer network, and the number of dealers that have expanded their respective markets.

“Receiving Trans Tech’s prestigious Dealer of the Year award for a third straight year is a tremendous accomplishment for our entire company,” Leonard Bus Sales Vice President Jon Leonard said. “There are a lot of great Trans Tech dealers across the country, so winning this award is truly a testament to our talented team and our commitment to provide unmatched customer support to our school transportation partners.”

Leonard Bus Sales is owned and operated by the Leonard family. The company operates a Trans Tech-only facility in Garden City Park, New York, and four full-service facilities across upstate New York in Saratoga Springs, Rome, Bergen, and Deposit. The latter location is the site of Leonard Bus Sales’ headquarters.
