HIGH POINT, N.C. — Thomas Built Buses has named Herbert Mehnert its vice president of engineering. He replaces Ken Dodson, who recently retired.
In his post, Mehnert will manage 45 engineers and will direct all of the company's engineering-related activities.
Mehnert has worked in the transportation industry for nearly 20 years. Prior to attaining his new position, Mehnert managed chassis engineering for Thomas' Type C vehicles at Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp. for six years.
He also worked in fleet bus sales for Mercedes-Benz Mexico and was engaged in a variety of roles for Mexicana de Autobuses.
