Special-needs bus targeted in rock-throwing incident
AKRON, Ohio — Two windows on an Akron Public Schools bus carrying special-needs students were shattered last month after rocks were thrown at the bus. The incident is one of three that have occurred since the beginning of the school year. A 16-year-old was arrested in connection with the latest incident and was charged with criminal mischief, criminal trespassing and inducing panic. To read the full story, click here.
Vandals slash tires on special-needs buses
NEW LONDON, Conn. — Vandals slashed one front tire on five New London Public Schools special-needs buses last month. Police were called to investigate the incident, and district officials said they hoped surveillance cameras would help them catch the culprit. To read the full story, click here.
