A 10-year-old girl who was involved in a snag-and-drag incident on Thursday, March 23, died one day later in a Detroit hospital. The girl was dragged for about 10 feet after her clothing got caught in the door of her school bus, which was operated by Robinson Bus Co. for Detroit Public Schools. The girl was disembarking after the morning ride to an elementary school in northwest Detroit. Authorities said it was "unlikely" that the driver would be charged. Officials at Robinson Bus Co. said the driver was immediately placed on leave. The fatality was the second involving a Michigan school bus in less than a week. On Tuesday, March 21, a 6-year-old girl was run over and killed by a school bus in Dexter, about 50 miles west of Detroit.
