EASTMAN, Ga. — A school bus driver for Dodge County Schools has been fired after she let two students drive her bus, WMAZreports.
On the afternoon route last Wednesday, driver Patricia Cuda is alleged to have let two 15-year-old students drive the school bus while seven students were on board, according to Capt. Tony Winborn of the sheriff's department.
The school superintendent was notified of the incident by the transportation department head after receiving complaints from parents. The superintendent ordered Cuda grounded until the complaint could be investigated.
The next morning, Cuda admitted to letting the students drive the bus. The district attorney will determine if charges will be filed. Sheriff's officials say she could face seven counts of reckless conduct and two counts of letting an unlicensed person operate a vehicle, WMAZ reports.
