Safe Fleet Names 2019 Winners of Anti-Bullying Grant
The fleet safety solutions supplier awards a total of $50,000 to promote anti-bullying efforts in local communities.
BELTON, Mo. — Safe Fleet on Tuesday announced the winners of the 2019 United to End Bullying Grant program (UEB).
Created in 2015 by the provider of safety solutions for fleet vehicles, the program works to fund grassroots anti-bullying efforts to provide safety solutions for fleet vehicles.
“We received so many deserving grant applications this year,” said Lisa Radesco, UEB coordinator for Safe Fleet’s Nesconset, New York, location. “It was really tough to select the list of winners.”
The schools and organizations chosen presented the best strategies to combat bullying. As a result, 47 applicants were selected this year to receive the funding, which totals $50,000 in grants.
“Safety is part of everything we do,” said John R. Knox, chairman and CEO of Safe Fleet. “This grant program is an important part of our commitment to safety in our communities, enabling local organizations to inspire kindness and equip children and adults with the knowledge and tools to end bullying.”
