LIVERPOOL, N.Y. — The Pupil Transportation Safety Institute (PTSI) has released additional details about the National Conference for Behind-the-Wheel Trainers and Classroom Instructors, to be held here Oct. 9-11 at a Holiday Inn.
The conference will offer interactive sessions to help school bus driver and attendant instructors develop their training, presenting and coaching skills, both in the classroom and behind the wheel.
During the sessions, attendees will learn such skills as how to set up an effective driving course, how to eliminate nervous habits when teaching or training, how to improve their PowerPoint presentation skills and how to add video enhancements to PowerPoint slides.
Guest speakers and session leaders will include Peggy Burns of Education Compliance Group; Jean Zimmerman of the School District of Palm Beach County (Fla.); Sue Shutrump of the Trumbull County (Ohio) Educational Service Center; National Association for Pupil Transportation President-Elect Linda Bluth; Bill Hoosty of WRH Consulting Group Inc.; PTSI Executive Director Kathy Furneaux; and Faye Stevens, PTSI curriculum development specialist.
