CINCINNATI — Petermann Ltd. has been honored with the EP Maxwell J. Schleifer Distinguished Service Award for its work, care and advocacy on behalf of people with disabilities.
The Hamilton County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities, with which Petermann partners to transport children and adults to schools and adult center work sites throughout Ohio, nominated the company for the award.
In the nominating letter, the Board said that Petermann's "responsiveness to; and flexibility with the always challenging transportation needs that grow out of changing and expanding services and numbers of individuals served; is unmatched and shows tremendous commitment." EP Global Communications Inc., the publisher of Exceptional Parent magazine, presented Peter Settle, president of Petermann Ltd., with the award at the Great American Ball Park on Aug. 25 as part of Disability Awareness Night.
