Noregon has released JPRO Professional v3, a major update to its JPRO diagnostic software that adds new diagnostic capabilities and expanded coverage for on- and off-highway vehicles and equipment.
New CAN Bus Diagnostic Capabilities
The update introduces CAN Bus Diagnostics, allowing technicians to view voltage and resistance readings directly within the software rather than relying on external tools such as multimeters or oscilloscopes.
“CAN Bus Diagnostics lets technicians access voltage and resistance values directly in the application,” said Jason Hedman, product manager at Noregon. “It reduces the need for additional hardware, especially when access points require disassembly.”
The new capability also enables additional CAN-related fault detection, alerting users to communication issues such as short circuits. Technicians can also graph live CAN voltage readings to help identify interference or grounding problems.
Expanded Vehicle And Equipment Coverage
In addition to diagnostic enhancements, JPRO Professional v3 expands coverage across multiple vehicle platforms. Updates include added support for Cummins engines, Eaton transmissions, and Ford medium-duty vehicles. The release also adds emissions faults and data for Volvo Trucks North America VN4 architecture vehicles, including Volvo and Mack models.
“We continue to focus on adding coverage so technicians can service a wide range of vehicles and equipment,” Hedman said.
JPRO users with an active subscription can update to JPRO Professional v3 through the software at no additional cost or by visiting the Noregon website.
