CITRUS HEIGHTS, Calif. — The California Association of School Transportation Officials has released the second edition of Access & Mobility: A Guide for Transporting Students with Disabilities in California.

The 144-page handbook is an operational tool for transportation and special-education administrators. Although it was produced for California, the guide provides best practices for these officials that can be applied nationwide.

Access & Mobility offers specific and practical advice on a wide range of timely topics, including cost efficiencies, least restrictive environment and collaboration. The appendices include many easily adaptable checklists and forms.
