LISLE, Ill. — IC Bus parent company Navistar honored 33 top-performing suppliers with its annual Diamond Supplier Award this week.

Officials said that the select group, which represents the top 2% of the company’s supply base, helped Navistar improve customer uptime and exceeded performance expectations for quality, delivery, technology and cost.

“We strive to create products that have excellent quality and uptime,” said David McKean, vice president of procurement for Navistar. “The suppliers receiving this award have proven to us that we can count on them to do the job, and do it well.”

Navistar officials said that the latest round of Diamond Suppliers are a diverse group, including women- and minority-owned businesses, small and large companies from the Midwest and other areas of the U.S., and global suppliers from Mexico, Taiwan, China and Canada.
