CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — A mother here was served a criminal summons warrant on Thursday for allegedly boarding her daughter's school bus and threatening to hit a student, The Fayetteville Observer reports.

The warrant stated that on May 31, a school bus was transporting students home from Manchester Elementary School, according to the newspaper. When the bus stopped, Dominique Lavon Williams boarded it, despite multiple warnings from the bus driver. Williams allegedly then told her daughter, who was on the bus, to jump over the seats to hit another student. She also said, according to the warrant, that if her daughter did not hit the student, then she would slap the student.

The bus driver was eventually able to persuade Williams to exit the bus, but Williams then got into a car and began to follow the bus. The warrant also stated that the driver was forced to bring the bus back to the school while students were aboard, according to The Fayetteville Observer. A school resource officer with the sheriff's office then met the bus driver at the school and made sure that all students got home safely.

Williams was charged with misdemeanor trespassing on a school bus and misdemeanor disorderly conduct, the newspaper reports. She was arrested on Thursday after a separate incident. In July, she was accused of threatening a woman and following her while driving, the warrant stated.
