The brake pads are manufactured using OE friction formulas or friction formula upgrades, and they are designed to give medium-duty vehicles stopping power, increased pad life, quiet stops, low dust and great pedal feel, according to the company.

“Our blends of friction material are application-selected based on a host of factors that affect vehicle braking," said David Terry, senior product manager for friction, Bosch Automotive Aftermarket Brake Components North America. "More subtle considerations include rotor diameter and thickness, and even caliper bracketry. Friction compounds are carefully selected to assure quiet, reliable and long-lived braking on all types of vehicles.”

QuietCast medium-duty pad packaging is differentiated to reflect the medium-duty vehicle applications and the associated product attributes. The packaging’s color graphic label includes an image of a medium-duty pad to make it easier for the installer to recognize the box as a medium-duty application.
