FORT VALLEY, Ga. — In a move that will expand its network of dealers, Blue Bird Corp. has partnered with Atlanta-based Yancey Bros. Co.
The company will offer a full line of Blue Bird school bus products to school districts and bus contractors in Alabama and Georgia.
"We are pleased Yancey has joined with Blue Bird," said Roger Howsmon, Blue Bird's senior vice president of school bus sales and marketing. "Their diversity of business and focus on providing the highest level of customer-dedicated products and services will bring an unmatched level of product sales, service and support to Blue Bird customers in the states of Georgia and Alabama."
Yancey Bros. Co. has undergone many incarnations since it was founded in 1914. It began as a hardware store and later became the first U.S. dealer of Caterpillar crawler tractors, according to the company. It currently has multiple product divisions, including Yancey Agricultural Products and Yancey Power Systems.
