COPsync, Child Safety Network Team Up for Student Safety
The Child Safety Network will recommend the COPsync911 threat-alert system to meet school transportation safety protocols.
The Child Safety Network (CSN) will recommend COPsync technology to meet school transportation safety protocols recommended by CSN and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), COPsync announced recently.
“CSN and TSA are working together to expand training for school bus operators, drivers, and other student transportation professionals,” said Ward Leber, founder of CSN. “Beginning in 2017, CSN will collaborate with TSA with a mutual goal of 100% participation with the latest safety and security training available for the nearly 15,000 school districts nationwide.”
Eroca Daniel, communication director for CSN, added that the organization will also work to make school districts aware of COPsync technology, which “speeds response times and provides shared data among law enforcement agencies.”
COPsync solutions include the COPsync911 threat-alert system for school districts. In an active shooter situation, school personnel can reportedly use COPsync911 to summon the five closest patrol vehicles while they give other information to 911 dispatch.
“The COPsync911 threat-alert system can save minutes when seconds count,” said Ronald Woessner, CEO of COPsync. “It can help protect the millions of American children that ride school buses.”
