Bus enthusiast Mateusz Pierog of Polandwrote to us about a place called “Jurassic Park Baltow,” which is about 100 miles from Warsaw. The park, situated in an area where many dinosaur bones have been found, features life-size models of such behemoths as the stegosaurus and the diplodocus.
There is also a large wildlife area full of live animals that have, ahem, avoided extinction. This is where the school buses come in.
Pierog says that the park bought six yellow buses, each about 10 years old, from theU.S.in 2007. The buses carry visitors through the wildlife area so they can get a close look at ostriches, goats and other creatures on the loose.
The buses may not have to contend with real dinosaurs, but I hear ostriches can be pretty fierce.

Most applicants sought grant funding to acquire electric school buses, with propane coming in a distant second. No one indicated plans to purchase compressed natural gas (CNG) buses in this round.
