Man faces charges for school bus sniper hoax

Earlier this year, Codarrius Rayshun Brewer claimed that he ran after a person pointing a gun at buses, and that the person shot at him. Now, authorities say Brewer has admitted to fabricating the story, and charges against him include making a false report and obstruction.

Ga. district board approves stop-arm violation measure

Under the measure, Cobb County School District would sign an agreement with American Traffic Solutions to issue $300 citations to motorists who illegally pass stopped school buses. The measure now awaits the approval of the Cobb Board of Commissioners.

Calif. district increases bus fees

Temecula Valley Unified School District raises the cost of its annual bus passes from $520 to $550 per student. According to a district official, the change was made because the state severely underfunds Temecula's transportation due to a technicality of the stipulations under which the district was incorporated.
