Roberts Hawaii, Ground Transport to bus students in Oahu

On Wednesday morning, officers respond to a report of a possibly impaired school bus driver. As a result of the investigation, a 71-year-old man is charged with impaired driving and operation of a motor vehicle over 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 milliliters of blood (0.08%).

Lion Bus to develop all-electric school bus

President Marc Bedard tells Journal de Montreal that the company “wanted the most energy efficient bus possible, and this project is materializing itself.” A feasibility study has been completed, and a prototype is set to be revealed in the spring, with Bedard noting that the company would ultimately like to produce 2,000 buses that would be sold on a 10-year scale.

HSM acquires Summit Seating Inc.

Summit Seating is a manufacturer of seating products for transit buses, recreational vehicles, vans and other specialty vehicles for original equipment or aftermarket use. Officials say the acquisition is expected to expand HSM’s footprint and leadership role in the transportation seating market and will immediately grow both the near- and long-term growth opportunities for the HSM Transportation Solutions business unit.
