Jim Reaume Marks 35 Years at Q’Straint
The wheelchair securement sales veteran, who has been with the company since its humble beginnings, also helped shape the Americans With Disabilities Act.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Wheelchair securement sales veteran Jim Reaume is marking 35 years with Q’Straint.
Proudly working with Q’Straint from the company’s humble beginnings, Reaume is responsible for the company’s first product sales in the U.S., according to Q’Straint’s blog.
Initially hired as a sales manager, Reaume worked his way up to director of sales for the public transit market. Ever since, he has enthusiastically spearheaded the growth and development of the sales department over the years, according to Q’Straint.
Reaume operates with a business philosophy that centers on the premise that the customer’s satisfaction is always the company’s highest priority.
Reaume is currently responsible for promoting a host of wheelchair securement solutions, as well as managing a team of North American regional sales managers and new geographical markets.
Helping Shape the ADA
Before the initial Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations were established, Reaume published a whitepaper based on his experience working with Q’Straint in the wheelchair securement industry. The information was used by the ADA to help shape and formulate some of its passenger restraint regulations.
Staying Humble
Reaume has always put his company first and has become associated with the term “stay humble,” which he uses often when addressing the entire Q’Straint team.
“It seems like yesterday when Jim stepped in as the very first Q’Straint employee in 1985,” Q'Straint officials said in the blog. “Congratulations, [Jim,] and may you continue to succeed throughout your career.”
