The Smart Battery Isolator 48530 prevents loads on a bus’ auxiliary battery from draining the starting battery. The device reduces charging system workload by not connecting to the auxiliary battery until the primary battery is charged to 13.2 volts, which also extends the lifespan of the charging components. The Smart Battery Isolator is available in 85A and 200A versions and allows for bidirectional charging from alternators.
