SEATTLE — In response to school bus fleet requests for simple subscription pricing, Zonar Systems has established new telematics bundle packages with prices starting at less than $20 per month.

All packages include a comprehensive set of features with hardware, installation, activation, 24/7/365 support, access to the Zonar Knowledgebase and lifetime hardware warranties, company officials said.

“Bundled packages for pupil transportation provide both districts and contractors a quick and easy way to begin realizing the benefits of Zonar’s leading telematics and ridership reporting system with the ability to scale the solution over time,” said Chris Oliver, Zonar’s chief marketing officer.

The base package includes Zonar’s V3 telematics control unit and the cloud-based Ground Traffic Control management system. School bus fleets gain instant efficiencies with real-time HD-GPS bus tracking, path reports, idle time monitoring, speeding alerts based on posted speed limits and more, company officials said.

Districts can also add features, including remote diagnostics, driver performance, student ridership reporting, Medicaid reimbursement reporting, driver time and attendance, electronic bus trip inspections and parental apps.

“Districts can now receive all the benefits of Zonar with a simple monthly investment and no up-front capital expense,” Oliver said. “Pupil transportation always has been and always will be at the core of our business, and we are very happy to be able to provide school bus fleets with our proven solutions at a lower cost than ever before.”

Those interested can learn more about Zonar’s bundled fleet management and ridership products by registering for an upcoming webinar, “An Introduction to School Bus Fleet Telematics,” taking place on June 26 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time/1 p.m. Eastern Time.
