PENNINGTON, Pa. — A massive tree recently fell on a school bus, bringing live wires down with it.
Two adults — the bus driver and aide — and a special-needs student on board survived the incident, the Pennington Postreports.
The rotten, hollow tree severed power lines as it fell on the moving bus. The neighborhood had a power outage, but no injuries resulted.
An EMT who responded to the incident told the Post that the bus was trapped between fallen wood and zapped with 13,000 volts, creating a lot of sparks.

First Student and Wichita Public Schools are using behavioral support strategies to improve student ride experiences, while a separate initiative expands access to after-school programs through a bus donation.
