JACKSON, Tenn. — A middle school student died after suffering from a medical emergency on a school bus here last month, The Jackson Sun reports.
Officials said that the student’s private-duty nurse, who was with him on the bus, performed CPR, and a special-education assistant and the bus driver also tried to help. The student was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
According to The Jackson Sun, Jackson-Madison County Schools officials said in a statement after the incident that the student “suffered from a medical crisis of unknown origin.”
