Company officials said that the FCAR F3SN scan tool was designed to deliver an intuitive, integrated diagnostic experience, and to enable faster troubleshooting solutions to keep school buses on the road.

The FCAR F3SN can be used to diagnose IC Bus, Blue Bird and Thomas Built buses along with Cummins, International, Caterpillar and Detroit engines. It can also communicate with Allison transmissions and Meritor WABCO and Bendix brake systems.
The touch-screen diagnostic scan tool is powered by a Samsung processor and comes with a built-in printer. It also comes with a six-pin J1708 connector and a nine-pin J1939 connector and has a hard-shell case.
The basic functions of the F3SN are to read and clear diagnostic trouble codes, read the open source data stream, read system information and perform special action tests.
The tool is offered with a one-year warranty and two years of free application updates.
