WESTFIELD, Ind. — Larry Gray has been promoted to CEO of IMMI, which supplies lap-shoulder belt seating systems and other safety restraints for school buses with its SafeGuard brand.

In this position, Gray will develop and implement the company’s global business strategy and provide leadership toward achieving annual goals and objectives. In his tasks, Gray will partner with company President Tom Anthony, who will focus on directing the IMMI mission, philosophy and overall strategic direction. 

“Larry Gray’s visionary leadership and strong relationships have helped IMMI develop new customers, new partners and new markets,” Anthony said. “His efforts have not only kept IMMI competitive through the economic downturn, but have also strengthened the company’s ability to meet customer needs and grow its position as a global provider of safety products for commercial vehicles.” 

Gray graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and technology in 1994 and is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers and the Society of Mechanical Engineers. He has been awarded five U.S. patents and has filed four additional patents. 

During his nine years with IMMI, Gray has held such positions as director of research and development, director of sales and marketing and, most recently, general manager.
