Fleetio launches fuel tracking app for fleets
Fleetio Fuel lets drivers log fuel in seconds using a mobile device. The app provides fleets with comprehensive data, such as cost per mile, mpg and distance between fill-ups.

The Fleetio Fuel tracking app is designed specifically for fleets. It provides data such as cost per mile, mpg and distance between fill-ups, company officials said.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Fleetio has launched Fleetio Fuel, a native mobile application that allows fleets to quickly track fuel data, company officials said.
The Fleetio Fuel tracking app is designed specifically for fleets and lets drivers log fuel in seconds using a mobile phone or tablet. The app provides fleets with comprehensive data, such as cost per mile, mpg and distance between fill-ups, according to the company.
To eliminate the need for paper fuel receipts and purchase reconciliation, Fleetio Fuel lets users input fuel costs and volume for vehicles assigned to them and view fuel history for specific vehicles. While at the pump, drivers can take photos of fuel receipts and upload them to a fuel record. Fleetio Fuel can also track a vehicle’s fill-up location through GPS, providing a detailed record for all fuel purchases, company officials said.
“Fleetio Fuel makes it simple for our drivers to log all details about their fuel purchases,” said Barry Dowd, chief operating officer at Skedaddle Humane Wildlife Control. “We have peace of mind knowing our fuel records are accurate, and by seeing our fuel data all in one place, we’re armed to pinpoint inefficiencies and excess spending.”
Fleetio Fuel is free for all Fleetio users. To learn more about Fleetio Fuel and to download the app, visit fleetio.com/fuel.
