Before joining the Wisconsin School Bus Association, Houser worked for the Wisconsin Motor Carriers Association for 19 years. She has also been involved in the Governor’s Conference on Highway Safety and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s Motor Carrier Advisory Committee.

Houser, who also teaches computer technology classes part time at Madison (Wis.) College, will take on the NASDPTS role on May 1.

“She will help the association move forward with expanded implementation of technology and cloud-based services, enabling NASDPTS to streamline its business procedures and improve services to members,” President Leon Langley said in an announcement. “The NASDPTS board of directors welcomes Cherie to the position.”

Houser replaces Nikki Hughes, who resigned from the NASDPTS administrative position last month.
