Twelve-year-old Reno Williams was born legally blind (he’s now visually impaired), and he has also been diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome.

He became interested in researching autism and Asperger's syndrome after realizing that he does some things a little differently than his peers. His mission is to reduce the stigma that some associate with people with disabilities and to reduce bullying.
 
For the past two years, Williams has been spreading autism awareness through public speaking engagements in schools and throughout his community. He has also written a book titled Reno’s World: Presenting Autism and Related Disabilities to Youth.  

Williams has drawn from his experiences to help readers better understand children who have an autism spectrum disorder. It’s written in friendly terminology and includes tips for all school staff members and students who ride school buses, such as how to be a good friend to someone with autism.
