Blue Bird technical training classes get rolling

Last week, school bus technicians received instruction on the manufacturer’s line of school buses, updates on SCR technology, information on alternative fuel options and a factory tour during the manufacturer's technical training class. Registration is open for sessions that will be held in May and July.

Blue Bird technical training classes get rolling — Technicians who attended Blue Bird’s technical training class last week received instruction on the manufacturer’s buses, information on SCR technology and alternative fuel options, and a factory tour.

FORT VALLEY, Ga. — The April session of Blue Bird’s technical training class was held last week, and the school bus manufacturer reports that it was a full session.

Technicians received in-depth training on many elements of Blue Bird’s complete line of buses, in addition to updates on SCR technology, alternative fuel options and a comprehensive factory tour.

The class was "very helpful in giving me the information and tools to assist with my fleet and train other technicians back home,” said Steve Hudson of Willapa Valley School District 160 in Menlo, Wash.

Blue Bird officials said that there are only a few spots remaining for these upcoming technical training classes:

• Blue Bird Vision: May 17-20
• All American: July 12-15
• Blue Bird Vision: July 19-22
