Switch increases bus security
The 58336 Locking Rocker Switch is a weather-resistant device that automatically locks in the off position — a slider must be moved in order to turn on the switch. An orange actuator indicates that the switch is locked. The device provides SPST on-off configuration and has a 25A at 12-volt DC rating.

Warning lights designed for school buses
Meteorlite 7-inch Round Warning Lights have been added to Superior Signals Inc.’s line of strobe systems. The lights are available in red or amber, have a polycarbonate lens and feature 55 LEDs per light head. They require a 12- to 24-vdc power supply to operate.

Tools take on wiring work
Waytek Inc. now carries several new products from Klein Tools. The Kurve Wire Stripper cuts and strips 18- to 10-gauge solid wire and 20- to 12-gauge stranded wire. The Journeyman Crimper/Cutter crimps insulated and non-insulated 22- to 10-gauge solder-free connectors and terminals. The Compound-Action Specialty Crimper crimps 22- to 10-gauge insulated terminals. The Continuity Tester reveals shorts or broken circuits in electrical devices.

Guide covers windshield repair
The Gzone Windshield Repair Inspection Guide helps determine if damage to a windshield falls within a driver’s primary viewing area and whether the damage is repairable or the windshield needs to be replaced. The guide is based on the Repair of Laminated Automotive Glass Standard approved by the American National Standards Institute.

Algae-X International’s TK-180 XT is a system that can clean, re-circulate and transfer diesel fuel and light oils. It removes water, sludge and sediments from diesel-powered, heavy-duty equipment and vehicles at a flow rate of 180 gallons per hour. The system is portable and lightweight, and it runs on 12-volt DC power.

Ownersite is a Web-based tool that has features that enable it to keep track of each vehicle’s service history, and fleet managers can log all expenses into an online database. The site also sends automatic reminders when scheduled maintenance is due, and it notifies managers of recalls that could affect a vehicle’s safety and performance.

Mobile lifting system has new design
The Hetra-AE is a heavy-duty mobile lifting system that can support objects that weigh up to 160,000 pounds. Its weight-sensing capability enables the lift to automatically shut off if a load exceeds the maximum weight capacity. Additional features include a modern PC board with a programmable microprocessor to allow for customization of data, and a membrane touch keypad. Its digital display readout shows the weight and height of the object being lifted.

LED crossing arm technology introduced
The UltraLED is a lamp designed for use on school bus crossing arms. It has a 1-watt, high-intensity LED on its sides, each with a built-in rapid flash circuit. The unit can be installed in the same base as a 1156DC crossing arm bulb, which allows for a direct interchange within the bulb socket.
