School buses could be exempt from restraint system requirement

A new bill would alter a current Minnesota law mandating that children of a certain age and height be fastened in a restraint system, such as a booster seat, in vehicles with seat belts. The legislation would exclude school buses and Type III vehicles that meet federal crash protection safety standards.
