Drivers and administrative staff cleaned All-Star Transportation school buses in Connecticut, removing snow and ice. If left untouched, the snow and ice would pose a safety hazard and violate state law, according to the bus company.

The Trans Group's Rockland County and Ulster County operations were shut down on March 14 and 15.

Kodie Shamrock, acting supervisor of transportation at North Tonawanda (N.Y.) City School District, needed to dig out buses after a storm dropped 19 inches of snow.

The storm caused North Tonawanda City School District to close on March 14 and 15.

At All-Star Transportation's Oxford location, buses are huddled together to make it easier to clear the lot after the storm. Huddling them also makes it easier to remove the snow from the buses before they hit the road again.

Schools in Connecticut closed on March 14 and 15 due to the blizzard, which dropped 18 inches of snow there.

Shown here are the rooftops of buses for The Trans Group at Chestnut Ridge Transportation in New York getting piled with snow that continued to fall for two days.
