AUBURN, Calif. — Paula Davison has joined the Mid-Placer Public Schools Transportation Agency as operations and training supervisor.
Mid-Placer is a joint powers authority agency in Auburn that was created by the five school districts it serves.
In her new role, Davison oversees the operation of 19 routes that transport general-education and special-education students to school using large and small buses.
Davison has 30 years of school bus experience in California’s Placer and Nevada counties, starting as a driver and most recently as a general manager in Grass Valley.
Since joining the Mid-Placer Public Schools Transportation Agency, Davison said that she has come to enjoy working with the people on the staff, many of whom have interesting backgrounds.
“We have drivers with 30 years of school bus experience, and we have drivers that have come to Mid-Placer as retirement careers,” she said. “We have a retired USFS [U.S. Forest Service] surveyor, a retired firefighter, and single parents driving for us.”
