Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) has opened a new parts distribution center (PDC) in Dallas.
The company’s parts distribution locations are part of a network of services available to customers of DTNA brands, including Thomas Built Buses, Freightliner, Western Star, Detroit, Freightliner Custom Chassis and Alliance Truck Parts.

Company officials called the new PDC facility in Dallas a key step in a multifaceted plan to improve parts availability and meet customer expectations of uptime. The 275,000-square-foot facility will enable customers to receive stock and mission-critical parts faster, according to DTNA.
Jay Johnson, DTNA’s general manager of supply chain, said that the new PDC “is much more than just a building. It’s part of our strategy to get closer to our customers.”
Officials said that DTNA's new facility and supply chain strategy are already showing results.
“The new Dallas PDC and supporting supply chain initiatives have dramatically improved our ability to service our customers,” said Dan Stevens, chief operations officer and partner of the Lonestar Truck Group dealerships. “The speed with which we receive parts has improved front counter customer satisfaction due to improved fill rates. Technician morale and efficiency has improved, as well.”
