Hosting food drives, Stuff-the-Bus events, and a winter clothing haul are just some of the ways pupil transporters are giving back this holiday season.

Durham School Services’ location in Overland Park, Kan., teamed up with Harvesters, a nonprofit community food network, to host their annual Thanksgiving food drive.

This year, the team collected a total of 55-gallon drums of food for those in need. Mike Merchant, the general manager for Durham’s Overland Park location, and Regional Manager Chuck Mosqueda said they couldn’t be prouder of the team’s efforts.

Ivy Corliss, a bus driver with Lewiston (Maine) Public Schools, has started a winter clothing drive to help keep students warm during the colder months.

Corliss has received hundreds of thoughtful notes and donations, including this donation of $100 to purchase winter boots for students.
