Members of the Student Transportation of America team in Battle Ground, Washington, donned blue shirts on Oct. 1 as a symbol of unity against student bullying for Student Transportation Inc.’s “Bully-Free Buses” campaign.

Pumpkin-picking was the focus of a fall festival in Torrance, California, near School Bus Fleet’s offices, but a school bus at the top of a bounce house played a small part in the festivities.

Darlene Campbell, a special-needs driver for Henry County (Ga.) Schools was honored at the board of education’s annual Harvest of Heroes event on Oct. 25 for her quick thinking in responding to a student who had a medical emergency while on the bus.

Greg Hoeger, a driver for Carson City (Nev.) School District, received a certificate of merit from the district and its board of trustees on Dec. 11 after saving one of his student passengers from being hit by a vehicle that failed to stop for the bus.

Tina Pearson, Swink (Co.) School District’s transportation director, captured the pink and orange hues of the sky as one of the district’s school buses completed its morning route.
