Glendale (Ariz.) Elementary School District #40 hosted its third annual "Love the Bus – No Bullies On Board" event on Feb. 14. Students made valentine cards for their school bus drivers and monitors with help from Arizona Coyotes professional hockey team mascot “Howler.”

In Minnesota, Gov. Mark Dayton proclaimed Feb. 22 the state's first-ever School Bus Driver Appreciation Day.

In North Carolina, HSM Transportation Solutions sponsored a breakfast and gave drivers T-shirts in celebration of Love the Bus. The T-shirts feature the "Stop for a Life" logo designed by Laura Hardy Creative of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina. In South Carolina, high school students at Greenville County Schools showed their appreciation for bus drivers by temporarily painting activity buses.
