Inspector J. Valley from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation’s Vehicle Safety and Compliance Service found this bird’s nest while performing a bus inspection. The bus was a spare in the fleet at Whittier Vocational Technical High School in Haverhill, Mass. The nest was left there until the eggs hatched and the birds left the nest.

Watch your step indeed! Looks like this dog wants to make sure the right people get on the bus safely. The photo was submitted by Angela Baldwin, a bus driver for Jenks (Okla.) Public Schools.

Mitch Moore, a bus technician at Hoover (Ala.) City Schools, spotted this rather large frog while servicing a bus and snapped a few photos of it. “I guess I was entertaining this fellow,” Moore says.

This bus is carrying some extra (if light) cargo! School bus driver Jennie Golden snapped this photo of a katydid on a bus as she was walking into her operation's transportation facility. Golden works for Sanders (Ariz.) Unified School District #18.
