One winning entry was submitted by Loren Laird of Lincoln (Neb.) Public Schools. It was the luck of the draw to capture a lightning strike on film. Laird said it looked a lot closer than it sounded.

A third winning entry was submitted by Christine Hughes of Hillsborough County Public Schools in Tampa, Fla. When Super Bowl XLIII came to Tampa in 2009, organizers contracted Hillsborough County Public
Schools buses to shuttle halftime extras. This is a standby location where the buses waited to take
them into Raymond James Stadium.

An Honorable Mention was submitted by Jo Ann Allen of Lake Elsinore (Calif.) Unified School District.
