Despite not being able to host their annual Thanksgiving potluck due to COVID-19, the transportation team at North East Independent School District (ISD) in San Antonio, Texas, found a new way to celebrate: a “turkey leg grab and go” event.

Even though the transportation team couldn’t have as many volunteers as previous years, Jennifer Miller, a school bus driver who helped organize the event, said those who did participate practiced social distancing and wore masks while distributing the donations to a local food bank.
